Adherence to HIPAA standards

To support the needs of Zencare clinicians, we have successfully designed our service and security program to comply with the requirements of the HIPAA Security Rule. Specifically, we have taken steps to ensure our systems are secure, team members are trained, and relevant policies and safeguards are in place, and are working with a qualified third party information security consultancy to validate that we meet the requirements of the HIPAA Security Rule.

As far as we know, we are the only mental health clinician directory that provides the option to sign a Business Associates Agreement. 

While we are pleased to offer a HIPAA compliant solution, you must play a part to achieve compliance. When using Zencare, these responsibilities include limiting the amount of personal health information that is exchanged over email with clients, and executing a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Zencare. The "Pro" Plan is designed to enable clinicians who wish to sign a BAA to do so, and for us to cover ongoing overhead required to maintain HIPAA compliance.
