If the thought of starting therapy seems overwhelming, you are not alone.
I aim to support you in creating a balanced life by treating the mind, heart, and body. In our work together we will likely explore thought and behavior patterns, cultivate self-compassion, and practice grounding the body. I am here to listen and provide guidance towards conscious and lasting change. Being present and compassionate are the core values of my practice.
I look forward to learning more about you!

While you may fear judgement from others, be the most critical judge of yourself, or feel stuck and unable to find a balance in your life, I’m here to say that it does not always have to be this way. It is possible for you to access the strength within you and put yourself first! I will guide you through this process of self-exploration.
Whatever the everyday life challenges you are facing may be, I am here to help you work through them. I believe in a person-centered approach in which we tackle your holistic wellbeing with honesty and at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Are you noticing any unhelpful patterns or themes from your past? Do people seem to not understand what you really mean when you express yourself? Do you feel a lack of respect for yourself or unsure how to advocate for respect from others? Do you struggle with self-control?
Dealing with any of these feelings, behaviors, and patterns can be especially difficult when managing them alone. Unfortunately, they are incredibly common. However, enduring these things can build strength and by considering a different perspective on these thoughts and actions, it can make all the difference with the motivation and the willingness to be uncomfortable in a safe place to facilitate healing.
I strongly believe that all people are capable to bring about positive change in their lives. My practice aims to establish a foundation based on trust and understanding so we can collaboratively build a suitable space to face challenges while maintaining a sharp distinction between feelings, thoughts, actions, and the roles that they may fill. With hard work, this space will allow us to promote the development of sustainable resilience. I’m ready to join your team and become an ally in the fight for a better quality of life!
Seeking therapy can be an intimidating and overwhelming process. From acknowledging that you would like more support to searching for the right therapist for you, it takes time, effort, and courage to face your challenges and risk vulnerability. That is why I aim to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you experience trust, safety, and comfort to bring your authentic self into the room. To be vulnerable and open as your true self without fear of judgment is to move towards freedom and expansion.
I especially enjoy working with BIPOC individuals, couples, and families to explore issues of race, sex, gender, culture, and other identity that may be impacting your relationships, work, or overall wellbeing. As a family and couple therapist, I believe problems reside between people and not within them. We will approach your challenges from a relational and systems perspective, putting into consideration the context, environments, and systems we all reside in. You are the center of your story and expert on your life. We will build upon and utilize your innate skills and strengths to better understand and work through your challenges.
Between work, school, parenting, general life obligations, and now, a global pandemic, life can be stressful and overwhelming. Friends and family are all going through their own stressors, and it can be easy to feel unseen, unheard, and invalidated. You deserve a safe space to feel supported where you can speak freely, be validated, process your thoughts and trauma, and grow toward the person you want to be. Therapy is just that place, and I’m so glad you have taken the first step of your healing journey by reading this page.
As a therapist, it’s my role to support you, your child, your adolescent, or your family in healing and growing. We will work together to decide what you want to gain from therapy, and I will provide you with concrete tips and skills to help you achieve your goals. As the client, you are the expert of your own life. Each session, you will provide me with individual puzzle pieces. It is my job to help you put the pieces together to understand the larger picture; this includes your past, your present, and creating a path to attaining the future of your dreams.
“You are the expert of your life” I begin each therapeutic relationship with this statement to assure the client that there will be no judgment or assumptions on their lived experience. Therapy is a rollercoaster in which you will learn and gain insight on many things about yourself. As your therapist, we’ll explore different therapeutic techniques to best fit your needs and healing process. I have an active approach during the sessions, which means I will listen attentively, ask questions to understand, and highlight strengths. I hope to create a space for you to feel empowered to navigate your stressors. In facing those moments, you can experience healing, growth, and peace.
My goal as a therapist is to help you maximize joy and fulfillment in your life. Together we can work to bring awareness to the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, to shift old ways of thinking that may no longer be serving you, and to develop actionable ways for you to overcome any barriers to living the life you envision.
I strive to create a supportive and judgement-free environment in which you can be free to be your authentic self and safely explore difficult feelings and experiences. I will also challenge you to examine patterns of thinking and communicating and try new skills outside of session. Sessions with me are typically semi-structured and involve a combination of reflection, active listening, feedback, and problem-solving.
My practice is open to adults of all backgrounds, and I use an intersectional lens, understanding the ways in which gender, race, sexuality, and class impact our lived experiences. I encourage you to reach out so we can talk about how we can best work together to help you reach your goals.
It is such an enormous relief to find someone to talk to, someone who is really listening, and checking in to ensure you feel heard and understood. I believe that everybody deserves support, and this is my first objective as a therapist. I strive to create a compassionate therapeutic environment that fosters curiosity and self-exploration as a means for growth, and ultimately, self-love.
My job is to hear you and offer you the support you need. My hope is that you will feel free to express whatever is on your mind. From this place of trust, we will eventually work together to learn the roots of your pain and find new pathways forward.
Wherever you are in your life’s journey, you don’t have to go through it alone. It can be challenging to understand why we are going through a difficulty in our life, but more importantly, it can be difficult to identify our own needs during these times. As a trained Art Therapist, I utilize talk therapy along with creative self-expression. I work from an intersectional and social justice framework, and as a female therapist of color I am committed to validating personal experiences and intersections of identity including race, ethnicity, and gender. It is my hope to help you connect to your inner self, to find and discover creative resources within you to help you cope and authentically express yourself.
