Professional statement

Dr. Jennifer Smith is a clinical psychologist at Wholeview Wellness, an outpatient addiction recovery center in Midtown, Manhattan. She provides evidence-based and highly tailored care to adults navigating substance use challenges, depression, and anxiety. Dr, Smith is dedicated to working with clients in all stages of recovery and uses motivational interviewing to help clients realize the best version of themselves.

Dr. Smith has over a decade of experience working in addiction treatment and research, which she brings to skillfully support individuals struggling with alcohol, tobacco, or opiate use, as well as their loved ones. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients change negative thought patterns and engage in activities that bring them joy.

Dr. Smith is dedicated to getting to know each client holistically, including their daily habits, relationships, and the life events that brought them to therapy.  She has been training healthcare professionals in motivational interviewing since 2005 and is excited to bring that knowledge to support each client in making behavioral change. Her office at Wholeview Wellness is located a short walk from Grand Central.
