Dr. Jessica Lubitz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and specializes in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, insomnia, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Lubitz uses evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients gain a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how these impact day-to-day decisions and quality of life.
Dr. Lubitz is an expert in treating insomnia and sleep disorders and uses CBT for insomnia, a goal-focused approach through which clients learn relaxation techniques and concrete recommendations to achieve more satisfying sleep. Through CBT-I, Dr. Lubitz guides clients toward making long-term improvements in the quality of their sleep.
Dr. Lubitz also offers neuropsychological tests and personality assessments. Her office is located a few blocks from the 86th Street and 72nd Street subway stations.
Anxiety – Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression – Providing support and promoting healing through hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Loss and grief – Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance
Relationships – Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
Insomnia – Addressing problems related to lack of restful sleep including difficulty falling asleep, waking often, and restless sleep

Initial/ongoing sessions: $245 (45min)
Sliding scale: A sliding scale of $185 - $245 is offered to clients who need a reduced fee to receive therapy.
Therapist's note: Dr. Lubtiz can provide you with paperwork for your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is a time-limited psychotherapy that focuses on interpersonal issues, which are understood to be a factor in the genesis and maintenance of psychological distress.
