Creating a New Normal - Substance Use Support Group

Description

This eight-week process group is for individuals who are looking to discover and get help with how to live a more robust lifestyle. In this nonjudgmental space individuals will explore their substance use with others. They also will be empowered to create a “new normal” that enhances their well-being, by incorporating new and healthier life choices. Through various exercises and discussions, group members will uncover the root of what is keeping them stuck in destructive behaviors, in order to replace those behaviors with more beneficial coping responses to stressors. The group will attempt to breakdown the beliefs that the individuals have of themselves and their trauma to discover, with support, how to overcome obstacles and live a more content existence.
