Alice DiTullio is a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Mindfulness Meditation Instructor. She holds a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University.
Alice’s approach to therapy focuses on helping clients to recover and develop their natural capacity to experience well-being and live full, healthy lives. Her work is also influenced by training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Contemplative Psychology, Gestalt, Transpersonal Psychology and Addictions Counseling.
Alice’s nonjudgmental, compassionate presence encourages those she works with to connect with their inner guidance and natural healing capacity as a foundation of the therapeutic process. As a body-based, trauma-informed therapist she understands that the symptoms of traumatic stress may manifest as depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, relationship issues, addictive behaviors, low self-esteem, challenges with life transitions, creative blocks, and unrealized career goals, among others. She carefully attends to build increasing capacity and resilience in the nervous system, focusing first on stabilizing the strengths that have supported her clients to survive, function and seek help. Her work with clients is aimed at healing the roots of traumatic stress as it is held in the body in order to foster deep-level change. She attunes with clients to carefully and collaboratively work with and witness the recovery of a sense of connection with oneself, others and the full expression of their life force.
Alice has worked as a counselor for adults in both individual and group settings. In addition, she has over 15 years of experience supporting students in higher education settings as an Advisor and Teaching Assistant/Meditation Instructor in mindfulness meditation-based classrooms and at retreat centers. At this time she is exclusively offering teletherapy sessions. In the near future, she will offer in-person sessions as well.
