At Novo Counseling and Wellness, Caitlin's approach to therapy is one that is warm, welcoming, and educational. Novo is the Latin word for "renew, refresh, and revive" which has become the moto for Caitlin and her practice. Her job is to teach you to access your internal resources to allow you to heal from your past, effectively navigate the challenges of your present, and face the future with a sense of empowerment, confidence, and purpose. Through years of experience and extensive knowledge of the body and brain, Caitlin can help you find what you will need to improve your mental health at your pace. She tailors her approach to your specific needs, drawing from evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is a method that can help people achieve meaningful healing and lasting results in often just 1-5 sessions! ART allows for treatment of your trauma without requiring you to share traumatic details should you choose not to, and focuses on helping you to resolve the emotional pain you have been carrying. Caitlin takes an approach to therapy that is holistic and self-empowering, taking into account how your body and mind affect each other. Caitlin will help you learn to utilize your strengths and incorporate practices that will allow you to cope effectively with your daily challenges.
