Dr. Deanna Olivas is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy24435) with a thriving private practice in West Los Angeles.  As a top executive in behavioral health and an eighteen (18) year veteran in the field, Dr. Olivas has robust experience with inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.  Her expertise has been sought addressing mood disorders (e.g. depression and anxiety), post-partum depression, trauma, addiction, transitional life events, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties and stress.  She is trained in a variety of treatment techniques and is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Dr. Olivas is also certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).

Dr. Olivas approaches her work with openness and compassion.  She aligns with clients through a non-judgmental lens, inviting an opportunity to share in a safe and nurturing manner.  As a holistic and integrative practitioner, Dr. Olivas draws from a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Mindfulness.  Dr. Olivas also integrates neuroscience strategies to help rewire the brain from engaging in negative thought patterns in order to develop healthy, adaptive thinking patterns that promote resiliency, emotional regulation and improved management of stress.  She considers her therapeutic approach humanistic, strengths-based and collaborative to best meet the unique needs of her clients and to concentrate on personal strengths rather than on pathology.
