Jennifer Kennett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Redmond, WA who specializes in couples counseling, including working with non-monogamous and polyamorous couples, premarital counseling, family issues, work stress, identity development, and mood disorders. She also enjoys working with teens.
Many of Jennifer’s clients are couples who have been married for over a decade. She mainly helps clients learn how to reconnect and rekindle their romance. For example, some of her clients have an ongoing issue that divides–work/life balance, difference in beliefs about money, children, parenting–that pulls them apart. Other times, the stress and effort of raising children while maintaining a career leaves little time for nurturing a love connection or a friendship.
Jennifer is trained in the Gottman Couple Therapy Method. Using this method, she and her clients will explore what may be causing conflict to flare, learn new tools and strategies to approach intimate communication differently so they can tap into authenticity, and experience more joy and connection on a daily basis.
When working with individuals, Jennifer utilizes a strengths-based approach, including the use of Supportive Therapy, mindfulness practices, and Narrative Therapy. She helps her clients reconnect with their inner strength that has been there all along.
Jennifer’s compassion and warmth are apparent the moment you meet her. She considers it an honor to support her clients on their path towards healing. She looks forward to meeting you.
