Dr. Jennifer Marchesani is a licensed psychologist in Charlotte, North Carolina who welcomes adolescents and adults into her private practice. Her clients tend to be successful, bright, and hardworking but lack contentment and pleasure with day-to-day life. Many of Dr. Jen’s clients struggle with anxiety, relationships, self-confidence, or feel stuck in stressful careers. Dr. Jen views all of life’s challenges as opportunities to let go of old stories that prevent us from embracing happiness in the here and now.
When clients reach out, Dr. Jen’s first step is to help them identify core beliefs and habitual coping methods that produce self-defeat rather than emotional enrichment. With a new awareness of the frameworks that no longer serve them, Dr. Jen’s clients are then taught to use mindfulness and self-compassion to develop a greater sense of self-worth, build healthier relationships, and find emotional fulfilment. Dr. Jen also empowers her clients with practical skills that allow them to relax and better regulate their physical responses to stress.
Dr. Jen is both a scientist and holistic practitioner. She has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment that allows her to quickly identify and understand her client’s symptoms. She also has a special interest in the mind-body connection and the exploration of our innate healing potential. Because of this, she is uniquely skilled in working with clients with chronic pain and illness.
Dr. Jen has lived and worked on the East and West Coast, the Southwest, and now the Southeast. Due to her travels, she strives to ensure that everyone who seeks her services feels safe and welcome. She offers the flexibility and convenience of telehealth sessions and allows clients to view her calendar and book appointments online.
