Professional statement

Juanese Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the Metro Atlanta area who works primarily with adults. Her clients are people who sometimes find themselves held back by painful experiences of the past, as well as those who are dealing with life’s difficulties right now. These difficulties include work stressors, relationship stress (familial and personal), and life transitions. As a therapist of color, she also provides a level of insight and shared knowledge which can be used therapeutically to assist her clients.

Therapy sessions with Juanese are an integration of insight and skills based approaches. She will create an open, relaxed environment free of judgment to allow for comfortable sharing of challenges and concerns. As appropriate, she will then challenge thought processes and behaviors, encouraging her clients to go toward what they want with “baby steps,” setting a foundation for strengthening the client’s core beliefs and thought processes. This will be done with a variety of tools including EMDR, CBT, and hypnotherapy (as deemed appropriate).

At this time sessions are held via telehealth platforms allowing for the safety and comfort of all involved.
