Message to clients

I became a therapist myself because while growing up, I felt emotionally dysregulated and could not connect with some of the therapists I was working with. That is when I knew that I wanted to become a therapist myself, one that can connect with other people because I understand the highs and lows ore emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

I work with women and teenagers who are suffering from severe emotion dysregulation; you cannot control your emotions, you feel like you are a constant roller coaster, you may be impulsive , and your relationships may be suffering. You are probably seeking therapy because you are at a breaking point due to intense emotions. Sometimes these intensive emotions may cause you to react in negative , unproductive, and self harming ways. Once learning DBT skills and implementing them into your life, it will help increase your quality of life which can be a difficult process but one well worth it. Many of the women and teenagers I work with Have a poor sense of self and may have difficulty understanding who they are and why they feel the way they do.

Together, we will first build a strong therapeutic relationship: trust is a major part of therapy. We will begin to understand your vulnerabilities, triggers, emotional, and behavioral patterns. We will implement new techniques causing the negative thoughts and behaviors to become extinct. It will be a lot of hard work but worth it.
