Professional statement

Kim Goh is a licensed master in social work psychotherapist who has experience working with adults, people of color, immigrants, and others in the LGBTQ community. He dedicated his work in helping those who are struggling with their identity, having relationship challenges, or choosing the right career. These difficult times can produce anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, or doubt. He strives to create an environment where the client feels understood and supported through working together in this therapeutic alliance.

In his practice, he utilized a person-centered approach in therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care. The work is simply to understand the point of view of the client and in hope to provide a space for client to process safely towards self-awareness and discovery.

He is currently providing sessions remotely.

Message to clients

There may be times in our lives when we experience challenges and that is okay. The element of the unknown or unsure of an outcome can be scary. Together through this collaborative alliance, I offer a safe space for you to process things from your past and presents in this journey towards self-healing and discovery. In the end, my hope is to help you encompass a sense of clarity and empowerment.

I identify as a 1st-generation Malaysian American psychotherapist who received a master’s degree in social work from the Silberman School of Social work at Hunter College. I have experience working with clients who seek to understand their own racial and ethnic identity. When I am not in session, I am usually doing one of the following: running, cycling, watching anime, yoga, working out, or searching for the best seafoods place in NYC.
