Liz Selzer-Lang is a licensed marriage & family therapist in Los Angeles, CA with dual certifications in couple and sex therapy. Whether seeing clients as individuals or with their partner(s), she welcomes discussion of sexual concerns, including low/absent desire, discrepant desire, performance and/or pain issues, and problems with closeness.
Liz is an LGBT/kink- and poly-affirmative therapist. She also works with clients who are grappling with anxiety, addiction and substance use concerns, and life transitions.
Liz's approach to therapy involves a compassionate, nonjudgmental exploration of the parts of clients they would like to change as well as their many strengths. She uses validated techniques from psychodynamic, MBCBT, and somatic therapies to help clients achieve what all of us wish for – good feelings that last. Obstacles to good feelings include loss, chronic shame, unprocessed trauma, neglect and abuse, addiction and paralyzing anxiety.
Liz understands that healthy relationships are how we reach our full potential, and looks forward to helping all her clients attain their goals.
