Orietta Coz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Coral Gables and Aventura, FL. She works with teens and adults, and many of Dr. Coz’s clients come in to address maternal mental health. Dr. Coz is particularly passionate about serving Individuals in the perinatal stage (pregnancy and postpartum)as she has advanced training and is certified in the area of Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Coz is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), in which she will attempt to better understand how your thoughts, beliefs and behaviors are impacting your emotions (CBT) and with IPT the focus will be on stressful life events and the interpersonal events associated with what you have been feeling. This approach supports clients to feel less alone, not to blame themselves for their symptoms, and feel as if they can create their village to help them through a difficult period in their lives..

Dr. Coz received their Psy.D. from Adler University. She has worked at in a women's clinic, in a pediatric hospital, and providing psychotherapy in a local community clinic, crisis units, and providing psychological evaluations with children in the foster care system. Outside of private practice, she is an advocate for maternal mental health, taking moments to enjoy the beach with her family, and coffee! Services are offered in-person and through telehealth.
