Professional statement

Viviana Villalobos is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Montclair, NJ. Viviana works with clients who experience symptoms and depression or anxiety in both English and Spanish. Many of Viviana’s clients feel overwhelmed by their emotional reactions to daily life, including feeling sad, worried, or stuck. She’s particularly passionate about supporting women of color.

In sessions with Viviana, clients may talk about their thought patterns and how these thoughts impact their feelings. Viviana also draws from psychodynamic practices, focusing on the whole person and understanding origins of behaviors. Viviana may include mindfulness or meditation practice in her sessions to help clients relax or become more aware of how they’re feeling.

Viviana brings warmth and comfort to all interactions with clients and hopes to provide a safe environment where all feelings and ideas have value.

Message to clients

I am here to help you better manage all the curveballs life throws your way. As a licensed professional counselor I focus on promoting change and growth in individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing difficulties. I know that therapy can be a very vulnerable experience, but if you have made it this far in your search you are ready to make changes and engage in the therapuetic process.

I am currently providing online therapy sessions during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Once things have improved I will be offering in office sessions in Cranford, NJ.
