My focus is working with young male clients (ages 8 - 25), using a blend of coaching and therapy. Most young guys are resistant to therapy, the blend of coaching often makes the idea of getting help more approachable. I offer free initial meetings in person as a way to give control back to the client before they commit to working with me, and pride myself on making sure clients (and their parents/family members) leave each session with strategies they can use right away.
It is important to find the therapist that feels like the right fit. We come with different personalities, ideas and tools about how to be helpful. My passion for working as a counselor is to help you live life from your solid and centered self.
As I hear your story, we identify your gifts/resources, find obstacles that keep you stuck and work together to release them. Sometimes that means being focused on your outer world and environment. Other times, it means turning inward to discover and let go whatever is keeping you blocked.

We are all much more than any label or diagnosis. Guiding me in my work as a counselor is a passion for helping people to find their voice, to feel more awake, alive and empowered.
I consult and work with people who are wanting to make changes in their lives. I understand how change works – it takes time, commitment, and uncomfortable conversations to lean towards that which one hopes for, values, and wants to commit to. My style is direct; therapy with me isn’t going to always be comfortable. And yet, it will be less uncomfortable than what led you to start therapy.
I pull from a narrative approach. This lens acknowledges each of us has innate resources, but these strengths may, at times, be discounted or overlooked in favor of dominant story lines that have taken precedent. I support individuals in facilitating conversations that help them see themselves as separate from the problems and obstacles they are up against, giving space for different narratives and possibilities. In other words, I am here to listen about what got you here and support you in going where you want to go.
I like to say that my job is to work myself out of job. Clients who seek out working with me are ones who, again, have a part of them who are looking to make changes and experience life differently in some way, to get to know themselves differently in some type of way, in the midst of being uncertain with what that looks like.
