Motherhood is a profound, all-encompassing experience, and we know how much ALL mothers are expected to do and hold for their children. For mothers who are parenting their children solo, the weight of that task is incredible. We are here to help carry that weight.
Any mother who parents children on her own is welcome to join us for a weekly, drop in support group. We will hold space for mothers who are parenting children between the ages of 0-17. We want to offer meaningful support and guidance and facilitate connections to women who are mothering solo.
This group is for any mother who spends time parenting solo--whether you are a single mother full-time or sharing custody with another parent--whether you are in relationship currently or not--we welcome you. Mothers with children of all ages are also welcome--whether you've got wee ones or you're navigating the waters of parenting teens.
Group focus will be on caring for ourselves, nourishment, building community, and increasing our resliencies as single mothers.
The PWCB believes that all women and families deserve to be healthy and thrive. Sometimes, the adjustment to parenthood brings emotional challenges that can interfere with the health and wellness of the whole family. The PWCB is committed to working together with clients and patients so that health is attainable.
When you work with a therapist at the PWCB, you can trust that your care will be a top priority. Our therapists work beyond the boundaries of your 50 minute session- they will consult with other providers on your behalf, be available by phone and email between sessions, and consider your wellness from a biopsychosocial perspective. Our therapists are committed to ongoing professional development and, through working as a part of a team, are committed to evidence-based and best-practice treatment and care.
