I have expertise in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship and family struggles, challenging adjustments and life transitions, grief and trauma. Most of my clients begin therapy hoping to heal relationships, alleviate emotional pain, fix problematic behaviors and improve their overall life satisfaction. And yet, despite their hope for the future and courage to begin therapy, getting started can feel scary and anxiety provoking. I will do my very best to help you feel relaxed and at ease. It has been my experience that my clients ultimately enjoy the process of becoming healthier and more self-aware. My approach to therapy is individualized. I take special care to create treatment plans that are unique to each person. I believe that life’s challenges represent opportunities for growth and that we are all inherently capable of tackling our problems and creating fulfilling, meaningful lives. I love my job because I am I able to help others find the relief and change they are looking for.

Relationships can be very challenging and complicated both with others and ourselves. If you find yourself in a place questioning repetitive thoughts or feeling emotions that may be roadblocks for personal growth, therapy is an opportunity for you to explore and grow both personally and interpersonally. We are all made up of many parts and often times we have a couple parts of us, such as an angry part or anxious part, that we feel defined by. Often times these parts prevent us from living our truest and fullest selves. I promise to be fully present and committed in helping you understand these difficult parts and how they may be preventing you from feeling like yourself. I have a very interactive style and will work with you at a pace you are comfortable with to help you find peace and harmony with yourself and in your life.

I have had the privilege of working as a Clinical Social Worker in the Boston area for over 20 years. I currently have a private practice in Boston, MA. I take a collaborative, practical and caring approach to psychotherapy.

I have extensive experience helping people with eating disorders among many other areas of mental health. Some other areas of expertise of mine are working with individuals and couples dealing with depression/mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, trauma, and life transitions. I also enjoy providing supervision/consultation for therapists in training.

My approach to therapy is rooted in relational & experiential therapy.I want my clients to know that they are not alone and that when working with me they have a place where they can be authentically themselves with no judgment. I use a sense of humor and bring to the session my true self and realness which makes space for transformation and lasting change.

Fluent in Spanish, I have traveled extensively my entire life. I have lived in Caracas, Venezuela, Spain and England, and have traveled and lived in different parts of the United States. Having a world view has shaped me not only as an individual but as a psychotherapist and as someone who helps guide, motivate and encourage those I work with.
