When we feel overwhelmed by our sadness, worry, and anger we often don't know how to cope. We might yell when we don't mean to or lack the confidence we need to succeed at work. This however propelled me forward to push through boundaries and limitations that once defined me. I regularly counsel patients dealing with relationship and family problems, those contemplating separation or divorce, as well as those struggling with destructive personal behaviors, anxiety, and depression. I additionally work with clients who have experienced trauma and many wanting to improve their self-worth.

In my work with individuals, I help people see how they developed the coping skills and defense mechanisms they did, and how to begin recognizing them in a less judgmental way. I also teach couples new communication skills: how to rebuild trust and safety after a breach, how to mirror one another, ways to validate and empathize. We work on breaking bad patterns and create healthier ones using positivity and appreciations.
