The common denominator in virtually all of my clients' struggles and problems is the lack of relationship with Self.

The relationship with your Self is the most important relationship. It's the “X-factor” for empowerment, change through awareness and action, and what makes transformation possible.

The common denominator in virtually all of the problems and symptoms that bring people to therapy is relationships, past and current and there is a prevailing lack of knowhow to boot.

Most of the relationships I work come in are mired in discord and disconnection due to the backlog of unexpressed feelings and unresolved issues that never get any airtime and a palpable wedge of mistrust and unsafety between them

Relationships are as good as the conversations had. Can you talk to each other? How much do you talk to each other? What can you talk about? But, more importantly, how well do they understand each other and feel in the process.

Usually the first conversation I facilitate and one you can expect to have, one I consider to be perhaps the most standard and basic one every couple needs to be able to have is, How are you feeling in the relationship and towards each other?

I create a safe space for you to begin having these ‘more difficult’ conversations and facilitate a process that ensures that you talk and listen to each other in a way, and about things, you never did before.

One of the founding principles of my practice and my own therapeutic style is that emotion and rationality are not necessarily separate ideals, but rather that they assist each other to help a person make wise decisions. This principle can apply to as little a thing as what to eat for breakfast or as large a thing as what career to follow or who to marry or what choices to help your children make.

While therapy can be a humbling concept and often a difficult process, it also reaps great rewards. I enjoy seeing my clients make progress. As your therapist, I hope to assist you on your journey to live a happier and more peaceful life.

While my methods are grounded in evidence-based practices, my style is unique, down-to-earth and non-traditional. I'm also realistic, charismatic and compassionate. I apply humor when necessary and take great pride in challenging you to rise to your own occasion. Being able to step back and take an observational view of your life and consider a different perspective is integrated into my practice and a large part of what excites me about this work. I'll collaborate with you to get where you want to be in a way that makes the most sense to you.

I want to help you realign your head and heart in order to trust your intuition. Doing this allows you to live your life from a strength-based deep understanding of yourself, propelling you toward achieving self-actualization! I have extensive experience with teens, OCD, behavior problems and trauma/complex PTSD. I employ many types of therapy, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention).

I have a great deal of training and experience with supporting people who are working through: Trauma/PTSD, relationship challenges, anxiety and depression, and life transitions. I offer individual counseling, teletherapy, walk and talk sessions, and equine assisted psychotherapy/learning (EAP/L) sessions. I'm not your typical therapist, I'm going laugh with you, make bad puns, and give you homework - but through it all I will keep you accountable and adapt our sessions to meet your needs and keep it as fun as possible.
