Professional statement

Hello, my name is Daniel Leal. I am an LPC and have been in the mental health field for about 5 years. My specialty and love is working with child/adolescent clients who have behavioral issues. However, I love also working with all individuals to help them create opportunities to change their lives.

I have gained a lot of experience working with a range of mental health challenges, including highly acute clients with significant diagnoses such as Bipolar and Schizophrenia. I am comfortable working in many settings and would describe myself as inclusive and strength-based.

The main theories I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Solution Focused.

I consider myself an active listener and like to come alongside all clients as they decide to make positive changes in their lives. I am supportive, and find joy in helping people identify their goals, and make them a reality.
