I believe therapy is about accepting and embracing who you are, while also exploring the ways that you can grow. Art therapy helps you access and harness your strengths to sustain healthy change. I’m here to support you in navigating internal and external conflicts, and figure out how to move forward. Through personalized, integrated treatment we can address ways to process your experiences and emotions in order to find clarity.
I know that seeking therapy can be a difficult process, and I hope to alleviate some of that. I offer free initial phone consultations to help you decide if we are a good fit before moving forward. Please contact me if you have any questions, I know this process is tough but I hope to make it rewarding as well!
If you are willing to empathically embrace your present life and ready to activate your physical, mental and creative self - you certainly can improve your emotional landscape and improve your well-being. I am here to assist you by providing a safe, supportive and mindful space for your journey of healing. Together, we will re-define your feelings, collaboratively nurture your self-awareness and esteem, establish some goals, and encourage new dreams. In this process of a meaningful, client-centered interaction, I believe you can establish a new relationship to self, awareness to others, and build skills to better manifest your ever-changing life. I wish to inspire those changes you might need in order to lead a thriving life.
The various activities during therapy sessions will address issues from a creative/expressive angle together with intellectual/thinking/talking perspective. This integrative approach using mindfulness, movement, imagery, art making, visualization and verbalization can develop from simple to more complex - "being in the experience" and embodied present moments. These processes are guided and structured by me, or completely self-directed as therapy progresses, and you are ready to do so. You ARE when you move, create and express.
My approach is based on my strong belief in each client’s potential and ability to move from, through and beyond personal traumas and emotional pain in a clear direction of present, and more meaningful life.
Joy, as a basic emotion, can be harvested daily, if you don’t give up on your becoming!
I provide a safe environment for patients who do not often feel comfortable being vulnerable or honest with others.

Therapy is not about being fixed, as if you're some broken thing. To me, it's about recovering from suffering, and connecting deeply and authentically to yourself, allowing for your thoughts, feelings, desires and dreams. It can be difficult to begin a new therapy relationship and be vulnerable, especially when relationships have been harmful in the past. I think taking the risk anyway reflects an inherent pull toward repairing the old wounds that restrict our capacity to live freely and joyfully. I love working with LGBTQIA folks, relationships, trauma and abuse, and difficulties with shame, self-love and acceptance.
I provide psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and relational psychotherapy. We'll collaboratively explore and process the impact of the past on the present, as well as tackle current difficulties. Creative arts therapy and drama therapy approaches can also be integrated into the therapy process, based on client interest and need.
My style is warm, nonjudgmental, playful and curious. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is central to the process. I aim to create an open space in which you can feel heard, cared for, and free to be your full self in all its messy, imperfect human complexity.
Mind Therapy therapists focus on building a supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic space to explore undesired patterns and emotions. We will help you address what is inhibiting your personal freedom and preventing you from living life as your fullest self.
In this work, we will uncover the root causes behind your thoughts and feelings and provide you with concrete, practical tools you can use to combat overwhelming emotions. Things can get better when you work with a therapist. We will help you develop insight into your thinking patterns to eliminate critical thoughts and promote a positive mindset. Our expertise in individual therapy includes but is not limited to: trauma effects (childhood or adulthood), panic attacks, generalized anxiety, depression, family trauma, and self-esteem and relationships.
We practice tele-therapy using simple, secure, HIPAA compliant software. Our therapists provide high-quality therapy services that you can access weekly or as needed from the comfort and security of your home.

Feeling overwhelmed? Anxious? Depressed?
I've been there.
Whether you're new to therapy or you're a seasoned veteran, beginning with a provider can seem daunting. My goal is to eliminate any reservations you might have, and to witness you write the narrative you want your life to emulate!
I follow mostly humanistic and existential approaches to treatment sessions. These approaches allow you to explore and find your innate ability to heal in the present moment. Also, they enable you to focus on how you can utilize your potential to make meaning of your life while finding wholeness within yourself.
Currently, I specialize in treating clients with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and dissociative disorders such as depersonalization and derealization.
In my personal and professional experience, mental well-being is improved through creating a safe, judgment-free space to express concerns, develop coping skills, and explore thoughts and feelings that contribute to our moods. I'm here to provide that space and help you navigate this explorative journey!
Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Creative practices can often be a safer and more direct way of expressing, experiencing and understanding the most challenging emotions. I'm a creative arts therapist who has been working in clinical settings in the NYC area for over five years. I integrate my experience as a performer in Jazz, improvised and World music as well as my zen practice of over ten years into a unique and effective approach to therapy. Using both verbal psychotherapy and creative art mediums in a safe and supportive environment I work to guide the therapeutic process towards achieving a client's unique goals.
I specialize in working with clients whom depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, trauma, loss and coping with medical illness such as HIV. I also specialize in providing therapeutic music lessons that can address performance anxiety and stress injuries. No previous musical experience required.
I believe that therapy is for everyone, and together we can help you become the best version of yourself. I work with individuals who are interested in improving their mental health, developing their self-esteem, and managing their emotions. I help people navigate challenges in their lives, feel heard, and create meaningful relationships. I also specialize in working with trauma/PTSD, and approach my work through a client-centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma informed lens.
