Practice Information

At be., we are committed to helping you feel better, faster.

Sometimes, talking about it isn’t enough. In fact, sometimes talking about our problems is part of what keeps us stuck. be. psychotherapy is a unique practice dedicated to offering scientifically proven, evidence-based psychotherapies to help you step out of your patterning and learn to live your life from your feet up (rather than from your head down!). Our approach is active, collaborative, and designed to help you begin moving - actively - toward the life you want.

What you can expect, if you work with us:

Your therapist will use the best existing evidence as a starting framework for therapy.

Active collaboration will drive our plan; we will incorporate your preferences and individualize our approach to enhance your comfort and confidence, as well as your outcomes.

Your sessions will feel meaningful and goal-oriented, and never mechanical, lifeless, or manualized.

The outcome: an experience that is dynamic and engaging, leading to short-term symptom relief and longer lasting resilience (because evidence-based therapy has the potential to help people reduce their suffering long after therapy has ended).

*be. psychotherapy is a woman and queer-owned practice providing affirming care to people across dimensions of diversity.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

be. psychotherapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy practice in the neighborhood of Mt. Washington in Baltimore, MD. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapies.

What are your practice's specialties?

Our therapists have advanced training and expertise in the following specialty areas:

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, including postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD (including birth trauma)

Recovering from sexual assault

Coping with Chronic Illness and/or Chronic Pain

Emotionally painful patterns of restriction and binge eating

Why should I choose your practice?

We hear versions of this story a lot:

“I’ve tried therapy before. My therapist was kind; a good listener. I was able to vent and often felt supported, but nothing much changed as a result of me going to therapy. I’m hoping for something a bit more active this time. I’d like to set some goals and see if I can experience some real change. I know it might be tough, but I feel ready to try a new approach.”

be. psychotherapy is ready to help you level up. This isn’t your mother’s talk therapy. We want to take you to the next level. If you are ready for something radically different, we are ready to support you in taking active steps toward your new life.

How does payment work at your practice?

Our practice is not in-network with insurance companies. We provide monthly superbills to clients who wish to submit claims for out-of-network reimbursement to their insurance companies. Our fees range from $150 - $225 per session, depending on the provider and service offered.
