Merit Psychology Group is woman owned psychological group practice. We offer comprehensive services to help you start to finish with your therapeutic journey. We conduct psychological and school-based assessments with kids, tweens, teens, and adult clients (ages 4+). We also provide talk therapy, parenting therapy, and occupational therapy services for teens, young adults, and adults (ages 0+). Group therapy and relational/couples therapy are provided for our adult clients (ages 18+). We work with complicated and not so complicated cases. We are LGBTQia+ affirming, trauma informed and attachment based in our approaches and work with populations who are neurodiverse as well as neurotypical. We are licensed in California, Washington, Arizona, & South Carolina. We practice telehealth therapy services in California, Washington, Arizona & South Carolina. Our therapists use behavioral, cognitive and trauma and attachment based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Child Intervention Therapy (PCIT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBC). We welcome children ages 0+, teens, tweens, families, couples, and those needing individual therapy ages 0-100.
We know you have many choices to make when it comes to your mental health. Merit Psychology Group therapists believe in taking an integrative, holistic, and data-driven approach to the care and treatment they provide to get the best possible outcomes for each person they see. They also believe in whole person care which means we look at you as a sum of your experiences not as a list of symptoms or diagnoses. We work with you to gain skills to live your best life, not to change who you are or stigmatize you.
We work with Spring Health and Lyra Health plans. Your services will be fully covered under those plans if you have a job that sponsors them. We are "out of network" with all other insurances. All clinicians have a set private pay rate of $250/session. We are happy to submit claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company but we also provide super bills for service so that you can also do this at your leisure. We can also help you understand your benefits during a brief consultation phone call. If these rates are a restriction we do ask that you speak with us directly as we do have limited spaces for sliding scale.
Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.
Divorce & separation - Questioning or feeling unsatisfied in your relationship; contemplation and navigation of separation; addressing issues of power, voice, and communication challenges
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Healing painful experiences and memories from the past
Neuropsychological testing - Evaluations of general brain functioning, as well as assessment for changes or impairments. Typically involves an interview, as well as series of tests.
Psychological evaluations & testing - A broad range of tests and assessments that may be used to identify present strengths, provide diagnosis clarity, and inform treatment goals
Stepfamily/Blended Family Issues - Issues regarding stepfamilies and blended families
