Practice Information

Hi! We're Suede Relationship Therapy, a practice of three LMFTs and AMFTs who specialize in couple, child/family, and individual work:

Couples Therapy: Suede Relationship Therapy specializes in couples work. Our therapists all have a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy, plus additional trainings and certifications in theories like Gottman, DBT, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Couple's sessions with will focus on tool-building and getting feedback about your communication patterns and relationship dynamics.

Individual Therapy: Whether you need support with relationships, anxiety, disordered eating, depression, or other issues, Suede brings a relational approach to the therapy room. Our therapists work from lenses of somatic therapy, DBT, narrative therapy, systems theory, and other theories to bring you the support you need.

Child and Family Therapy: At Suede Relationship Therapy, we work with children, teens, and families to improve communication and strengthen relationships at home. With children, we use play, creative activities, and conversation to help them express thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive way. With teens, sessions often focus on emotional awareness, coping skills, and understanding their relationships and daily experiences. We also work closely with parents and caregivers, as meaningful change often involves the whole family system. Depending on need, this may include parent sessions, family sessions, or a combination of both. Our goal is to help families better understand one another and create a more connected home environment.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Suede Relationship Therapy is a boutique private therapy practice providing therapy for couples and individuals. It is our belief that relationships are at the center of our lives. At times, they may not always feel smooth. Our relationships may need some extra TLC. Our mission at Suede Relationship Therapy is to provide therapeutic insights and create a space for clients to re-establish relationship wellness

What are your practice's specialties?

While we specialize in a variety of areas, the therapists at Suede are all relationally trained. We view each client as a product of their environment and relationships, which results in a more holistic type of treatment. We specialize in couple issues, family issues, and individual issues, including anxiety, depression, parenting skills and conflicts, premarital, infidelity, emotional regulation and identification, and more. As LMFTs and AMFTs, we aim to create a therapeutic space that acknowledges the entire person, not just one facet of a client's identity.

Why should I choose your practice?

Because each provider at Suede has formal systemic training, we are attuned to parts of treatment that other providers might miss. Here at Suede, each of our therapists have a client-centered, strengths based, and relational approach. We believe that therapy should be a space where clients can feel heard and seen in their most authentic states. Our providers all have a collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach, which serves as the base for treatment. Each of our therapists brings their own style and theories of choice into the room, which allows clients to choose who they'll connect with the best!

How does payment work at your practice?

We accept BCBS PPO and HMO, as well as Aetna for insurance. We encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider before sessions begin to obtain your co-pay/co-insurance amount and/or learn more about your deductible. We require a valid credit card on file for co-pays, co-insurances, or out-of-pocket costs. We charge $150 for individual sessions and $175 for family and couple sessions. We accept out-of-pocket payments.
