Professional statement

Kristina is a Certified Nurse Midwife who loves working with clients to find solutions that better their lives. She has supported women and families in their birthing choices, pregnancy choices, and postpartum and parenting experiences since 2008 when she graduated nursing school. Kristina loves connecting with women and helping empower them to access medical care that can be simple and life-changing. She believes that therapy is essential, and that medication in combination with therapy is, for many, the best way to achieve full recovery from perinatal mood disorders such as postpartum depression.

Kristina graduated from Boston College magna cum laude in 2008 with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), and in 2012 from Frontier Nursing University with her Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN). She worked as a nurse on high-risk antepartum, labor & delivery and postpartum/newborn nursery; she went on to work as a midwife in homebirth, private practice, and hospital settings. She has a myriad of varied experiences supporting diverse groups of women. Kristina tailors treatments to meet the individual person's needs, and believes the best care is care that is evidence-based and chosen with shared-decision making. The client is an integral part of their care, and only the client knows ultimately what is best for themselves. Kristina's goal is to provide the essential expertise needed for clients to make the right decisions about treatment. Kristina has completed the Perinatal Mental Health certificate training from Postpartum Support International and is thrilled to offer this aspect of her practice to women and families.
