Message to clients

Change comes from understanding ourselves more deeply. My specialty is psychodynamic psychotherapy with the option of conservative and judicious use of medications. By helping you uncover the roots of emotional difficulties, you can create lasting growth - not just find temporary relief. Together, we’ll explore how your life experiences have shaped your relationships and work toward better balance in your life.

If this approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to me!

I am out of network for all insurance companies, so I provide a superbill. You directly pay my fee to me at each session. Also note that I don't participate with Medicare or Medicaid/Masshealth.

Therapist's note

Dr. Curran MD's private solo practice is fee-for-service, which means payment is due at the time of the session in cash or credit card. I am not contracted with any insurance companies, nor Medicare or MassHealth/Medicaid. Another term for this is OON, out-of-network. Traditionally doctors like me provide a statement called a Superbill, for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, which can be substantial. Many households have insurance benefits for OON psychiatrists. HSA type accounts can also be used just like credit cards for my services. As OON doctors, we are not limited in the services we can provide to you. Prior authorizations are not needed when you have OON benefits.
