Professional statement

I believe it is crucial to acknowledge the significant role that social, cultural, and environmental factors play in our overall health and ability to cope with stress. My immigrant family background shapes my clinical lens and allows me to understand the complex cultural and family dynamics that affect our health and our ability to feel comfortable asking for help.

My goal is to provide you with a warm and welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with comfort and understanding. I view humor as an important tool to connect with my clients and remind them that as humans, we are inherently imperfect and it is okay to acknowledge that. Our work together will develop effective ways of coping with life’s various stressors, strengthen your relationships, and transform your thinking so that you are no longer your harshest critic.

My approach combines elements of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy. By examining your life experiences from early childhood to the present, we can identify how past experiences are impacting current patterns and behaviors that may be roadblocks in becoming the person you aspire to be. We work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan together to identify your goals and progress. In this safe space, I strive to meet you exactly where you are and provide the necessary support for your personal growth. If you are ready to take the first step towards creating positive change in your life, please reach out to set up a consultation.

Message to clients

Getting in touch with your emotional self can feel overwhelming and scary. As your therapist, I will create a safe and supportive space for you to engage deeper with your thoughts and emotions.
