Professional statement

Are you feeling stuck in a cycle of depression, trauma and anxiety, unable to break free from the weight of your emotions? Look no further - Amy Sapien is a 20 Year LCSW therapist, a breast cancer survivor and mom to a childhood cancer survivor, who is here to guide you on a transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and somatic therapy, Amy specializes in treating depression and anxiety from a holistic perspective. By addressing the mind-body connection, she aims to help you achieve true and lasting healing.

In addition to traditional talk therapy sessions, Amy is excited to offer in-home oral Ketamine therapy. This innovative treatment not only enhances the effectiveness of therapy but also promotes neuroplasticity, allowing for breakthroughs and growth like never before.

Furthermore, Amy also offers psychedelic integration services and is graduating from MAPS Psychedelic therapy training in May 2024. This additional expertise allows for a comprehensive and cutting-edge approach to healing and personal growth.

Amy is a liberal and progressive practitioner with a secular approach that is appreciated by the LGBTQIA community and those in nontraditional relationships. She has years of experience with persons facing health challenges, end of life issues, geriatrics, and alcohol use difficulties. Amy provides a safe and inclusive space for all individuals seeking support and healing.

Talk therapy sessions are available virtually for clients in Florida and Colorado, while in-home Ketamine therapy is offered near Boulder and Denver in Colorado. Take the first step towards becoming unstuck and reclaiming your life.

Message to clients

Welcome!

I know that considering therapy is often a first step in a long process towards becoming "unstuck" and building a life based on authenticity. Oftentimes that means looking backwards at the past while envisioning a new future.

Therapy is what happens between sessions. If the roof is leaking we can meet weekly and I can listen to your concerns and dump the "vent" bucket at the end of the session. Unfortunately, this does nothing to mend the roof itself. If you are motivated for change we can mend the roof so the water isn't constantly intruding. This can mean learning new skills, practicing the skills between sessions, and reading articles and books that can further expand on our time together.

I believe strongly that we each have the power of healing within us. I would feel privileged to be part of your journey towards self healing.

Amy
