Professional statement
Angela is a graduate of NYU's Silver School of Social Work. There, she focused her studies on Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders. After reading literature about the lack of treatment providers adequately trained in substance use and addiction work, she took this as an opportunity to fill a service gap that she could not ignore.
She has worked extensively with youth and young adults from various backgrounds, as well as adults experiencing mental illness. Angela's belief in the resilience of each individual brings a strength-based framework to every session. She ties this in with an eclectic array of modalities that benefit each client uniquely.
Angela has an open mind and loves working with marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and the formerly incarcerated. No matter the background, she will help each client work toward self-love and acceptance.
