Professional statement

I am an associate Marriage and Family Therapist (License 107188) who is passionate about helping individuals improve their relationship with themselves, food, and their bodies. I also have expertise in working with individuals who struggle with depression and in strengthening parent-adolescent relationships. Regardless of your source of distress, I believe that having strong relationships can be transformative when we are struggling. We are not meant to face life challenges on our own. I can help you feel more connected with yourself, your loved ones, and your community.

I use relational, emotion-focused approaches to help you improve your relationship with yourself and your family members. I am a certified Attachment-based family therapist and have extensive experience with reducing family conflict and improving parent-adolescent relationships. I also draw from cognitive-behavioral therapies (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT) to support you in developing the skills to make changes aligned with your values.

It can be a vulnerable process to reach out for help. I recognize and commend you for your bravery. I view my role as a therapist as a great privilege. It never ceases to amaze me how much humans have the potential to grow and change. It would an honor to be able to support you in creating the changes you want to live a more fulfilling and connected life.
