Professional statement

Falling out of balance can happen gradually and take many forms—like overworking, overeating, oversleeping, or overusing substances to cope. Through her mindful, embodied, approach to therapy, Ashley helps clients restore their sense of balance and self acceptance so they feel happier, more energized, and connected to themselves.

Ashley is both a therapist and certified yoga teacher. She can incorporate meditation, movement, and breathing exercises into her practice so clients can work through old emotions and energy stored in the body. As a result of their time with Ashley, clients often feel lighter, or like a weight has been lifted off of them.

Over time, clients develop a set of internal strengths they can use to move through life’s challenges mindfully. Her goal is for clients to maintain their ideal balance by listening to their bodies when things feel “off” and using tools from therapy to tend to their mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Message to clients

As a therapist and yoga teacher, part of my approach involves integrating mindfulness, the mind-body connection, and movement into talk therapy. By bringing awareness to how your body experiences emotions, we can address stress, overwhelm, and anxiety you’re carrying and create space for more joy, compassion, and ease.

We’ll also use other evidence-based strategies to recognize unhelpful patterns, explore the relationship between your past and present experiences, and identify goals to support the future self you want to create.

My hope is for you to find the strength to be kind to yourself, set boundaries, and live whatever life you want. You are not broken, and there is nothing wrong with you. You are worthy and capable just as you are. Throughout our time together, we’ll focus on making you feel more connected, embodied, and in control so you can find your inner harmony.
