Professional statement

Dr. Casey is a licensed psychologist with over 18 years of clinical experience, specializing in trauma, couples and relationship work, and women's mental health across all life stages.

She works with individuals and couples navigating life transitions — from early parenthood and dual-career stress to midlife shifts, perimenopause, and menopause. She is regarded as a resource for individuals seeking specialized care around body image, prenatal and postpartum adjustment, and reproductive health. She supports couples caught in cycles of conflict or emotional disconnection. She also supports professionals managing indirect trauma and burnout.

Dr. Judge uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs. For couples work, she uses the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners slow reactive patterns, explore underlying emotions, and rebuild emotional safety. She is EMDR certified and offers first-line "gold standard" trauma treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE).

Beyond weekly sessions, she offers flexible and innovative formats, including extended sessions, weekend intensives, and accelerated CPT, a treatment some complete in just a few weeks (featured on This American Life: Episode "Ten Sessions").

Dr. Judge's clinical background spans hospital settings across all levels of care and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she served as a point of contact for women's health interdisciplinary teams, initiatives, reproductive mental health consultation, and grants. She holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology and is a published co-author of a Positive Body Image Workbook. She has also contributed to peer-reviewed research and provided clinical supervision for those training to become psychologists.

She sees clients in person in Columbus, Ohio, with select evening and weekend availability. Through PSYPACT licensure, she offers telehealth to clients across 40+ U.S. states.

Message to clients

Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted by patterns that no longer feel sustainable — in relationships, trauma, self-criticism, or the pressure of holding everything together. Therapy with me is based on the premise that you were never broken. You adapted. Perhaps quite well. And those adaptations — the hypervigilance, the perfectionism, the over-functioning, the trying to figure it all out solo— made sense once. They just aren't working anymore.

Work with me is evidence-based, collaborative, and thoughtful. My approach combines practical tools and strategies with space to slow down, reflect, and respond differently. My practice focuses on trauma and PTSD, relationship and couples work, and women’s mental health.

I look forward to hearing from you! Ready to talk? Start with a free 15-minute consultation. You can schedule via Zencare, call, book through my website, or message me your availability - whatever method is easiest for you!
