Dr. Joseph strongly believes that sociocultural identities (e.g., race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability status, nationality, socioeconomic status and more) shape our experiences, and are a critical part of developing effective solutions for our individual needs.

Dr. Joseph has been recognized for her commitment and contributions to multicultural clinical and outreach services. She looks forward to working with you.

Message to clients

I currently work with adolescents and adults of all ages in individual therapy and have a special focus in working with clients holding marginalized identities (e.g., racial/ethnic, sexual, and gender minorities). My ideal client is someone who is willing to bring as much of themselves into the room (e.g., social/cultural identities, personal experiences, emotions, cognitions, and behaviors) in order to foster more self-awareness, growth, and make meaningful life changes.

I use a cognitive-behavioral foundation with integration of multicultural and developmental frameworks. My goal is to help you foster a better understanding of yourself as a cultural being. I will encourage you to curiously examine concerns and empower you to define your identities and values for yourself in service of living a personally fulfilling life.

I strongly believe in the healing and transformative power of therapy and it is an honor to join clients in the therapeutic process of growth and self-understanding. I'm excited to join you on your therapeutic journey!
