For this reason, Dr. Moffett takes the time to understand your healing journey , and will work with you to create a treatment plan that will result in your feeling greater peace of mind and better equipped to cope with life’s challenges.

Message to clients

I see every patient as an individual, offering a holistic, acceptance based approach to recovering from past trauma, managing life transitions, and healing from grief, depression, and anxiety.

The first step in a good therapy is to build a trusting and safe environment. I do this by offering a nonjudgmental space in which you can talk about the things that are causing you pain or acting as roadblocks in your life.

As the work progresses, I employ traditional psychotherapy methods as well as proven mind-body treatment modalities, such as Somatic Experiencing and EMDR, to provide safe and compassionate care. These therapeutic methods incorporate insight, self-acceptance and self-awareness .

Some people who come to me are looking for a therapist who can help them integrate their mindfulness or spiritual practice into their therapy experience. While I never initiate spirituality into the session, I am experienced in helping patients integrate practices such as yoga, meditation, breath-relaxation, or spiritual practices into their therapy.
