Professional statement

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults presenting with concerns around relationships and attachment, self-esteem, life transitions, and identity. Although I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, I incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical-Behavioral (DBT) therapeutic techniques when clinically appropriate. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University and have worked at various hospitals, schools, college counseling centers, and mental health clinics.

Whether it be with individuals, couples, groups, or families, I strive to facilitate a deepening of the relationship with self and other.

Additionally, I offer consultations, presentations and workshops geared toward integrating physical and emotional health and wellness practices. Please inquire if interested to learn more.

Message to clients

Too often, we find ourselves stuck—stuck in a relationship, job, life transition, or emotional experience. As your therapist, I offer a warm, genuine, and challenging space to hear and examine the unique life experiences that have led to your current emotional circumstances. My approach facilitates an environment that encourages insight, openness, and collaboration, so you feel safe enough to communicate your most personal thoughts, feelings, and wishes. Together, we will examine your patterns of behaving and relating, identifying those that were helpful earlier in life but are now creating their own challenges and obstacles. I strive to provide space for self-reflection and nonjudgmental exploration of your life experiences, so you can deepen your self-awareness while achieving personal growth and emotional relief.
