My name is Jeanne Kimble and I'm a Washington State licensed mental health counselor. I've worked in counseling and social service settings for over 30 years and have unremitting compassion for adults who find themselves ham strung by their problems and paying the steep cost of an unlived life.
I work with adults who want to overcome their struggles related to chronic stress, anxiety, unresolved depression, and developmental trauma. Their current concerns often involve problems as they relate to parenting, relationships, work, health or an impending major life transition.
My work focuses on first helping clients identify and process the problem memories, stuck emotions or traumas that tend to be driving their automatic and habitual thoughts, reactions and negative or unhelpful patterns of behavior. The processing work is core and frees clients up to target unwanted habits with greater clarity and less resistance as they work to unwind and eventually abandon those habits. These processes serve to help clients build trust in their whole self as they naturally gain vitality and the motivation to live more of their life.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, using treatments that are well-researched and supported in the therapeutic community for their effectiveness (including ACT, EMDR, and Mindfulness Based therapies). My orientation to therapy assumes a holistic and mind-body connection that is highly informed by affective neuroscience. My work draws primarily from psychodynamic, attachment-based and humanistic psychology.
I’ve worked with adults, children and families, providing social work and counseling services within private agency, government and private practice settings for over 30 years. Licensed as a mental health counselor in 2015, I currently provide individual therapy to adults in an online private practice.
