Professional statement

Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who offers Telehealth sessions to clients in NY and FL. She works primarily with adults seeking support in areas, such as life transitions and adjustment difficulties, anxiety, interpersonal/relationship issues, and stress management.

Jennifer utilizes an integrative and person-centered approach, allowing her to tailor techniques specific to her client's needs. She pulls upon various evidenced-based treatments, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Jennifer’s personal and professional experiences have truly allowed her to understand and empathize with her clients. She has worked with various populations in community-based, outpatient, and private practice settings. Because she has been afforded these diverse opportunities, she has been able to integrate elements from different therapeutic approaches as mentioned above. Throughout her career, she has learned that one-size-does-not-fit-all; each individual deserves their own unique path to self-discovery and healing.

Message to clients

Clients often describe me as welcoming, genuine, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to. One of my priorities during a session is to collaborate with my clients to build the necessary tools to work through difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences. A collaborative approach is important to me because I want to ensure my clients feel like an equal, active participant throughout the therapeutic process.

In the first session, I will get to know you as a whole. This will help me gain understanding and insight into factors that have impacted you in the past and present. I know it can be difficult to open up, so I will meet you at your level of readiness to do so and make it a priority to ensure you feel comfortable expressing yourself freely in order to get the most out of the therapeutic experience.

Whether it be heavier challenges or more simple ones, I'm here for whatever you bring to the session. I provide a safe space, promote self-awareness and growth, and will be flexible to what you need in the moment. I believe that providing authenticity, non-judgment, humor, and patience all make a great recipe for therapeutic success.
