Professional statement

At Spring Forward Psychotherapy, LLC, Karen's mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adults and teenagers (14 and older) struggling with mental health issues or for those who need help processing daily life and routine stressors and want to focus on self care.

Karen's therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning she draws from a variety of evidence-based techniques and tailor the approach to each client's unique needs. She prioritizes creating a warm and supportive environment for all clients. She has additional training to provide EMDR, CBT, DBT and ADHD therapy.

Karen's business model at Spring Forward Psychotherapy LLC is "outside the box" of traditional therapy as in-person sessions take place in park/nature settings (there is no physical office). That being said, there is a lot of flexibility of shifting from various parks to teletherapy for each session. The practice is also a subscription based service to create a "concierge" experience for clients with lots of flexibility on how to use the session times and to help minimize decision fatigue in deciding to schedule and pay for another appointment and encourage consistent accountable self care practices. (Depending on how you use the service, sessions range from 116-250$). Karen does not bill insurance, but can provide Superbills for out of network reimbursement. Below are the different subscription packages...

60 Minute (1 hr) ....................................$250

(one 60 min session or two 30 min sessions) per month.

90 Minute (1.5hrs) ....................................$350

(two 45 min sessions or three 30 min sessions) per month.

180 Minute (3 hrs) .....................................$575

(three 60 min sessions or four 45 min sessions)

All packages also include access to safe secure unlimited asynchronous messaging all month with response through client portal.

Message to clients

I want to begin by acknowledging the immense courage it takes to seek help for your mental health. I understand that reaching out for support can be a daunting step, filled with uncertainty and vulnerability. You are not alone in this journey, and I am here to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space where you can find understanding, healing, and hope.

I believe strongly in the holistic benefits of movement, nature and thought processing by providing therapy as "walk and talks" in local parks. I also believe that flexibility is important for routine care and offer services via teletherapy as well. Therapy can be a space to work on specific goals in life but also is a safe and confidential space to practice routine self care and lay out your first draft of ideas without judgment to allow you to process and refine and edit thoughts before sharing with loved ones and your support network.

I look forward to supporting you along your journey!
