Katie Parenti is a therapist located in North Carolina who sees clients virtually. As a neurodivergent person herself, she often works with people who have ADHD and Autism. In addition, she also works with people struggling with past trauma, self esteem issues, anxiety, and OCD. She works with a lot of people who may feel a little out of place in life or who may see themselves as a black sheep who is misunderstood by many others. Katie welcomes quirks, tics, weirdness, and all other oddities and attempts to create a therapy space where clients feel comfortable being who they are.
Katie uses therapy approaches that are considered fast-acting and very effective. If you're tired of traditional talk therapy where you share the same issues week after week with no change, Katie might be the therapist for you. She is a believer in completely eliminating or significantly reducing the majority of mental health struggles. She uses a variety of therapy approaches, including but not limited to: TEAM CBT (a therapy approach that can rapidly eliminate or reduce negative thought spirals), Internal Family Systems (a method that helps you heal inner parts that may be stuck in a past trauma or in something else), and Exposure and Response Prevention (a technique that can completely eliminate OCD, phobias, panic attacks, and many other forms of anxiety).
