Kayla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Dallas, TX but she offers tele-health with all patients in Texas and Florida. Kayla believes therapy can feel intimidating and should be backed by measurement based care. She hopes you feel like you're just meeting a regular person with her who uses data in a transparent fashion to know we have a plan for results. Kayla helps adults who grew up thinking they did not matter, were abused, abandoned or raised with violence or religious based fears and are now high achievers in professional lives but have a difficulty forming deep personal connections. This environment often forms deep truths we believe about ourselves and it impacts our overall mental health. When thinking of the past we can get stuck in vicious cycles, difficulty remembering large parts of childhood, feeling disconnected from ourselves, and we never really feel safe. Scary beliefs can start to form - did that really happen?
Kayla is a trauma-informed therapist and she practices a therapy modality Kayla is certified to practice a therapy modality called Brainspotting, which unwinds the brain’s learned reactions to danger through brain stimulation during emotional activation. In addition to Brainspotting, Kayla practices (KAP), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, a holistic modality to help people experience breakthroughs from deep rooted beliefs about self and trauma creating a sustained improvement in symptoms. Kayla’s style is warm and non judgmental. She is transparent with her clients and seeks to collaborate with them as they begin to heal from their trauma.
She enjoys celebrating with clients as they progress towards greater mental health, and helps them become unstuck in their lives. Her goal is to give clients the tools they need for mental and emotional relief.
