Professional statement

Kayla Rios is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with ARISE Psychotherapy Services, who welcomes all individuals into a safe space. Kayla has worked with individuals with symptoms of depression and anxiety, difficult life transitions, substance use, and many other conditions that can take a toll on daily life.

Kayla’s approach is rooted in different models that include person-centered theory, a combined approach where Kayla helps guide and support the individual to create the change they would like to see in themselves; as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that looks at thinking patterns and feelings and how they relate to our behaviors. All clients are different and Kayla tailors her approach in order to best serve each individual.

Kayla’s style is collaborative, focusing on a trust building relationship that fosters a safe environment to help create sustainable changes. Her priority is having the client feel heard.

Kayla received her Master’s in Counseling from Johnson and Wales University. She has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years with experience in home-based, inpatient, and residential settings. Kayla welcomes all individuals to the practice.

I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life and believe that therapy can be for everyone. I love building connections with the people I work with! When working with me, you can expect a warm welcome and a safe space to be able to build trust and see the changes you want for yourself occur.

I like to help empower individuals with my strength-based approach, and guide individuals in making the changes they want to see within themselves. My hope is that you will be able to recognize that you hold the key to all your future triumphs!

Throughout this collaborative process, I will be with you, honored to be able to join in on your development. Whether you are feeling like you just need to talk to someone outside of your circle, a significant life event has transpired, or you’re struggling overall, I am glad you made a choice to seek therapy. Thank you for taking this first step.
