Professional statement

My Name is Dr. Leslie Rogers. I provide clinical services to child, adolescent, and adult in both Fayetteville, NC (T, W, TH, F) & Durham, NC (Sat only). Telehealth is available at both locations during week.

As a dedicated clinician, I have always been drawn to the intricate and profound workings of the human mind. From a young age, I recognized the power of empathy, active listening, and understanding in fostering positive change and well-being. It is this deep-seated passion for psychology that has guided me on my journey to become a psychologist and continues to drive my commitment to this noble field.

My therapy orientation is driven by an integrative approach with a cognitive-behavior and recovery-based model. Each individual session is tailored to meet patient needs. I treat DSM-5 disorders, to include Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma-Related Disorders. I facilitate Trauma groups for adult men, Anxiety groups (age 8 - Adult), and mindfulness meditation and relaxation groups (age 8 - Adult), and other groups as deemed appropriate for clientele. I administer psychological Testing for ages 7 to adult.

My speciality areas are Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD; First responder, Veteran/Active duty, and Men.

Message to clients

Hello,

As we embark on our therapeutic journey together, I'd like to address some important questions that often arise when considering therapy. These inquiries not only reflect your curiosity but also underscore the significance of the path we are about to navigate.

When asked about therapy, I often convey to friends and loved ones that it's a safe and confidential space for self-exploration. In our sessions, we'll collaboratively delve into your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, tailoring each interaction to meet your unique needs.

Embarking on therapy for the first time can be an emotional experience. It's essential to know that therapy is personal and transformative. Feeling uncertain is normal, and we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you. Trust, openness, and commitment are fundamental elements in building a strong therapeutic alliance.

My goal as a provider is to create a supportive environment for exploration, growth, and insight. I aim to equip you with a deeper understanding of yourself, enhanced coping mechanisms, and the tools to navigate life's challenges. Ultimately, I hope our sessions empower you to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.

I am committed to working collaboratively with you, respecting your unique journey and providing guidance and support for your personal growth. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss them during our sessions.

Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of being part of your therapeutic journey.

Dr. Leslie Rogers
