My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to addressing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I am EMDR certified, and I use that intervention when appropriate. Through EMDR, I work to address and transform the impact of past/current trauma, fostering resilience and empowering clients to navigate life's challenges with greater ease. This evidence-based therapy practice has proven to be successful because it uses unique techniques aimed at desensitizing and reprocessing negative thoughts and emotional distress to significantly reduce the symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety and help reshape past events. My personal experience as a trained EMDR therapist has been spectacular. Many clients after EMDR have seen a stronger connection between their mind and body. It empowers individuals by establishing boundaries, creating better relationships, increasing self-esteem, and continued growth.
As a mother, sister, friend, and advocate, I care about creating meaningful relationships that foster personal growth and development. I have learned many life lessons from all the valuable people in my life. I am a daughter and first-generation Muslim-Indian American. My parents immigrated to the United States from India in the 1970s and taught me that hard work is the key to success. I am foremost a mother and mentor of two beautiful boys who taught me never to give up and keep moving forward. I am also a mother to my furry baby, who brings joy and unconditional love. I enjoy spending time and laughing with my friends and sisters, who have provided endless support and encouragement. In my free time, I relish going outdoors, going to the beach, and my latest obsession- pickleball.
