Nicole Wegweiser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner and founder of Monmouth County. She works with individuals and couples primarily, and offers family and group therapy as well. Many of Nicole’s clients come in to address depression, anxiety, toxic shame, relationship issues, and addictive behavior. Nicole is particularly passionate about serving young adults, LGBTQ+ community, couples, and attachment wounds, and complex ptsd. Nicole is passionate about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and it's potential to assist in the healing process.
Nicole is Certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Psychodrama, EMDR, Hypnosis, all tools to allow clients to go deeper, explore earlier childhood trauma(s), and gain awareness of the unconscious patterns that might be preventing clients from being the healthiest versions of themselves. In session, Nicole brings in mind/body practices such as meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and sound healing to support nervous system regulation. Using these approaches allows clients to connect to their purpose in life, have more meaningful and fulfilling relationships, and most importantly, cultivate a better relationship with themself.
Nicole's style is eclectic, relational, playful, and intuitive. When clients first start therapy, Nicole focuses on establishing rapport and asking the right questions so that she can learn who her clients are, see things from their world in their shoes, and tailor her therapy sessions to best fit their individual or couples' needs.
Nicole received their MSW from Fordham University. Prior to becoming a therapist, Nicole spent years as a professional modern dancer. Outside of private practice, she loves to travel, see live music, and dance as much as possible. Nicole is offering both n-person sessions in Central New Jersey, and virtual sessions for her NY clients.
