Rebecca Victor is a New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst and Nationally Certified Psychoanalyst, who works well with adolescents, adults and couples who struggle with depression, anxiety and life transitions, including changing family structure and family relationship dynamics. With over 14 years experience offering psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy, Rebecca has been nationally certified and licensed as a psychoanalyst for 6 years. She completed level one of Brainspotting in 2020, and has been utilizing it, in treatment with clients, for over 3 years.
Rooted in attachment theory, Rebecca’s treatment approach makes use of the therapeutic relationship to foster a deep level of curiosity, as well as an understanding of patterns and aspects of their lives that make them feel “stuck.” Rebecca earned an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Her experience in and knowledge of the business world is particularly helpful to clients who are working on entering the work world, career transitions and progression, as well as workplace conflict and interpersonal dynamics.
With her collaborative approach to psychotherapy, clients safely explore and gain insight into the patterns in their lives. Rebecca firmly believes that this insight creates lasting change, as it presents clients with a new opportunity to grow and act creatively. This method not only boosts self-esteem, alleviates anxiety and depression, and positively reinforces a sense of expansiveness, but also replaces passively reacting in ways that leave clients with negative feelings and a sense of being stuck.
Rebecca’s practice is located in downtown Rye, NY, within walking distance of the Metro North train station. She sees clients in person, as well as remotely via phone and video.
