Sandra Fortson(She/Her/Hers)

Sandra Fortson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Fort Collins, CO. Sandra offers individual, couple, and family sessions to help clients with intense feelings of anxiety, anger, grief, or stress. Many of Sandra’s clients face conflict in their relationships, which may be due to their own childhood trauma, and seek a way to improve their relationships with loved ones. Other clients resort to substance use when overwhelmed, further impacting their mental health and well-being.

Sandra’s approach to therapy stems from a systems perspective, helping clients to integrate all parts of their lives, including the parts that are hurt or the parts that would benefit from growth. Her sessions are holistic, focusing on both the mind and the body, and focused on determining the root cause of emotional distress. Sandra strives to help her clients realize their full potential and uphold their most important life values. She practices brainspotting therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solutions-focused therapy, and, when appropriate, ketamine assisted psychotherapy.

Sandra earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University. She earned certification in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy from the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute and in brainspotting from Cynthasis. She believes that everyone has the capacity to heal and live healthy lives, with innate resiliency.
