Professional statement

Shari L. Mosley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a private practice in San Jose, California, where she welcomes both individual adults, young adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples who are seeking to create change in their lives. Many of her clients bring in emotional pain, whether the symptoms of anxiety, depression or prevalent social issues are impairing daily functioning, relationships with other that feel unbalanced and disconnecting from normal life activities. Together, she supports clients to pull back the layers of present challenges in order to release painful past experiences and re-engage with their careers, their loved ones, and themselves in more meaningful ways.

For over 10 years, she has had the utmost pleasure and honor of sharing the gifts that she has been given with hundreds of individuals, couples, families, young adults, teens, and children in her therapeutic care. The passion she has developed for helping her clients has become the light that tends to guide her towards establishing effective and functional relationships with each of her clients. She devotes productive and positive energy towards enhancing the lives of her clients through an ongoing collaborative and relational synergy.

Therapy sessions with Shari integrate both insight-oriented and strength-based approaches. She gently challenges clients to explore the root causes of their symptoms in order to gain awareness into their emotional and relational patterns with others. At the same time, she focuses on practical strategies, with an emphasis on relaxation and meditation practices, to help clients feel better in the here and now.

Message to clients

As my client, you are always valued for who you are and where you are, RIGHT NOW! My goal is to support you so that you have the tools and full support to progress towards your specific objectives and goals. The struggles we sometimes encounter in our lives become the cornerstone to changes in our lives. Moreover, we find out who we genuinely want to be and that is our authentic self. Through the journey to finding Shari, I have had to jump over, crawl under, and, ultimately, face some ugly truths about self. The things that I have learned through my journey, is that life teaches us lifelong lessons related to five essential aspects, humanness, acceptance, forgiveness, honesty, and a willingness to make changes in our lives.
