Sonja Seglin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who offers remote sessions to clients living in Illinois and New Jersey. She specializes in helping her clients move through their anxiety so that they can live the life of their dreams. She is certified in treatment for insomnia, and is a certified perinatal mental health provider for new parents who are on the struggle bus.
Sonja also has experience in helping individuals develop the use of nonviolent communication in order to get the most out of all of their relationships. Her belief is that therapy should not last forever, and her goal is to help you move forward with your life.
Sonja combines a background in humanistic and existential therapy with recent studies in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while weaving in other treatment modalities as necessary. She spends sessions helping her clients to better understand why they struggle, despite all of their attempts to conquer their anxiety. For new parents especially, she helps clients navigate the barrage of emotions that often come with the end of a pregnancy, parenthood and loss. Please note that sessions are baby friendly especially for nursing mothers.
Sonja cares deeply for her clients and wants to help them reach a place where they feel empowered. She knows that life can feel overwhelming at times, and she wants to be there to support her clients as they embark on a new path.
